Behind every skyline there are neighborhoods, relationships, people, and stories …
Damien Jackson as told to Dave Jackson
Recently, I was privileged to work with and write the true story of Damien Jackson, a notorious Atlanta drug dealer and gangbanger who grew up in such desperate circumstances that he ended up turning to the streets for everything a kid should get from his family—food, shelter, love, respect, opportunity, encouragement, guidance, and faith. He had talents as a musician, a rapper, an entrepreneur, a leader, a fighter ... but no one to help him.
Literally kicked out of his house as a young teen, he became homeless and “shoulda been dead” time after time until he realized someone greater than he was giving him a second chance. That person was Jesus Christ who saved him from the streets, changed him totally, and helped him become the dynamic youth pastor he is today.
If you care about kids and what's happening with them on the streets today, you need to read this book ... and share its hope with some young person you love who should NOT end up dead, wasted, or in prison!
